TUITION / FEES Full payment (tuition plus all applicable fees) is due at the time of registration. Registration Fee A $15 Registration Fee is applied per student per session / program. The registration fee will be automatically included in the tuition at the time of registration. The registration fee is NOT REFUNDABLE in the event of a withdrawal, cancellation or government-mandated closure. Reservation Fee Included in the tuition paid per student per session is a reservation fee equal to the cost of two (2) lessons and is NOT REFUNDABLE in the event of a withdrawal, cancellation, or government-mandated closure. Returned Check Fee A check that has been returned / not honored by the issuing bank will incur a $25 fee. Transfer Fee A $10 transfer fee for a change in lesson time or day may be assessed for changes to an existing enrollment. WITHDRAWALS Enrollment withdrawals less than one week before the first lesson, or at any point after the session has begun, will not be eligible for any type refund. All withdrawals need to be handled DIRECTLY by LSS management.
MISSED / CANCELLED CLASSES Classes are held rain or shine. Classes that are missed or cancelled for whatever reason, whether on the part of the student, the parent or guardian, or LSS, including but not limited to illness, scheduling conflicts, emergencies such as pool fecal accidents or loss of utilities, government-mandated closure, inclement weather (LSS sole discretion) or acts of God, will not be rescheduled or refunded. ILLNESS As a courtesy to everyone at the school students who are ill are required to stay home.
HAIR Hair that is shoulder-length or longer must be secured into pony or pigtails using a rubber band or hair tie (no metal / plastic pins or clips). Clients are responsible for providing their own rubber bands or hair ties. Students that do not have their hair properly secured will not be allowed to swim.
PROHIBITED ITEMS Earrings or body piercings are not allowed in the pool. Additionally, glass items including but not limited to glassware and glass bottles are not allowed on pool deck.
POTTY TRAINING Students who have not been potty trained for at least 6 months by the start of the session, or who are potty trained BUT under 3 years of age, are required to wear LSS approved reusable swim diapers. Reusable swim diapers are available for purchase from LSS. Regular diapers and disposable swim diapers are not allowed. If the child has a fecal accident, student will be excused from remaining lessons without a session refund. Child may return after one year of being fully potty trained. If a returning child has a fecal accident there will be an automatic $1,000 fecal charge. SUPERVISION Parents/guardians are responsible for supervising their children at all times when not in the water with an instructor.
PHOTOS Students may be photographed during a session at the discretion of LSS. These photographs may be used in advertising or publicity. Photos taken during an Underwater Photo event are placed online for the convenience of viewing and purchasing. Only LSS clients are permitted to access the online site. Requests to exclude your child’s photos must be submitted to LSS in writing.
RELEASE OF LIABILITY / ASSUMPTION OF RISK By executing this agreement, the undersigned parent(s) and/or legal guardian(s) (“Guardian”) hereby grant consent for the student(s) listed under this account to participate in swimming instruction and related programming offered by LSS. Guardian affirms that each student has undergone a health examination within the preceding six (6) months, that such examination revealed no condition contraindicating participation in aquatic activities, and that Guardian has an ongoing duty to notify LSS in writing should a medical professional advise otherwise. In consideration of the enrollment of the student(s) in LSS programs, Guardian, on behalf of him/herself and said student(s), does hereby voluntarily and knowingly release, discharge, waive, and relinquish any and all claims, actions, or causes of action for personal injury, property damage, or wrongful death arising from participation in LSS programs or related transportation. Guardian further agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless LSS, its agents, employees, contractors, successors, and assigns against any and all liabilities, damages, or costs arising therefrom. This release shall be continuing in nature and remain in full force and effect for all subsequent lessons, sessions, or activities, including during enrollment breaks or renewals, whether initiated through paper, electronically, or other means. Guardian expressly acknowledges and agrees that participation in lessons and activities at LSS does not constitute, nor shall it be construed as, a guarantee of water safety or drowning prevention. Guardian understands and accepts that he/she remains solely responsible for supervising or ensuring the supervision of the student(s) at all times when in or near any body of water, including while at LSS location(s). Finally, Guardian represents and warrants that he/she is fully authorized to execute this agreement, has carefully read and understood the foregoing provisions, and enters into this agreement voluntarily and with full knowledge of its legal consequences. Guardian further acknowledges that LSS reserves the right, in its sole discretion and without cause, to refuse service to any individual and/or amend its policies at any time.
CONDUCT / SAFETY LSS reserves the right at its sole discretion to remove a student or family from a lesson or program for unsafe behavior, repeated disruption, or failure to follow staff instructions. In such cases, no make-ups, credits, or refunds will be provided. COMMUNICATIONS: By enrolling, Guardian authorizes LSS to communicate program updates and account notices via email and/or text message using the contact information on file. By enrolling, Guardian stipulates that they have read and agree to these Terms & Conditions.
